At Peace® Media is donating a portion of the proceeds of the sale of the three Spirit CDs to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) Foundation, a vital, non-profit organization and leader since 1990 in the promotion of research and education in the field of therapeutic massage and bodywork.
The AMTA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, public charity that was founded in l990 by the AMTA to promote research and education in the field of therapeutic massage and bodywork. The AMTA Foundation is:
• Funding exciting new pilot research projects demonstrating the benefits and cost-effectiveness of therapeutic massage and bodywork.
• Attending important scientific conferences promoting the importance of therapeutic massage and bodywork in healthcare and wellness to medical and scientific communities.
• Sponsoring significant community service projects throughout the world.
• Offering scholarships and educational programs to students, educators, and professional massage therapists.
• Sponsoring the Massage Therapy Research Database, a comprehensive, searchable peer-reviewed database which contains thousands of references. This database is available free of charge through the Foundation’s website, www.amtafoundation.org
