We truly believe in the restorative and healing power of touch.That’s why we support The Massage Therapy Foundation, a vital non-profit organization and leader in the promotion of research and education in the field of therapeutic massage and bodywork. The The Massage Therapy Foundation advances the knowledge and practice of massage therapy by supporting scientific research, education and community service.
The Foundation sponsored the Highlighting Massage Therapy in CAM Research Conference in 2005, which was attended by At Peace Creative Director, Jan Liverance. Photos shot by Jan at the conference later appeared in the Foundation 2005 Annual Report, designed by At Peace Media. Following in the footsteps of this ground-breaking research conference, the Foundation is co-sponsoring The First International Fascia Research Congress, to be held in October 2007 at the Harvard Medical Conference Center in Boston.
The Foundation awards research and community service grants annually and they maintain the Massage Therapy Research Database on their website with a link to PubMed. In addition, both massage practitioners and students can participate in the annual Practitioner Case Report Contest and the Student Case Report Contest. More

The NYU Child Study Center offers a multi-disciplinary team of professionals dedicated to advancing the field of mental health for children and their families through evidence-based practice, science and education, with emphasis on early diagnosis and intervention. Program specialists translate scientific developments and innovative procedures into everyday techniques for parents, educators, pediatricians, and other mental health professionals.
Their accomplishments include:
• 38 research programs with federal and foundation support and clinical services that evaluate and treat children from all over the world.
• A commitment to 9/11 recovery efforts in New York City including outreach services to over 4,500 children, adolescents, parents and teachers in the vicinity of Ground Zero as well as 500 bereaved children and families of uniformed personnel.
